THANK YOU MY DEAREST TWIN!!!! YOU ALWAYS KNOW HOW TO STEAL MY HEART!! :)
SH$T!!!!! My diet is over... PIERRE HERMES IS NOW AVAILABLE IN HONG KONG!! It is my favourite place for macarons, and it reminds me so so so much of my time in London! Walking around Selfridges is never complete without a macaron in hand, or leaving without a box for my darling Twin. :)
Anyone who wants to make me happy can just bring me a box anytime. Haha. :)
I always support my friends in whatever they do, because I know first hand how hard it is to start up a new business venture, and how important it is to have the support of loved ones. If it wasn't for my dearest and bestest friends, who not only gave me mental support but who were also my biggest customers at EDIT, I would not have sustained myself past the first month!
Anyway, enough about EDIT, and more about A Piece of Sweet - an online shop for pastries, launched by my dear friend Aimex. In the last month, I've been gaining weight stuffing myself with her delicious pastry samples! She makes SUPER delicious cakes and cookies which do not need fancy decorations because a bite is enough to make you crave for more! I am such a proud friend especially when I see how passionate she is in her new endeavour.
Please support her by going onto her website https://www.a-piece-of-sweet.com/ , and ordering her delicious cakes/cookies; and they will be delivered to your doorstep freshly baked.
Shirt (Acne). Bag and shoes (Valentino). Skirt (Mother of Pearl - from EDIT)
Out of all the 52 weekends in the year, EVERYTHING to do with ART has to happen this weekend. If only we can split ourselves to attend all the events.
Today, I was a SUPER proud best friend when I attended the opening of the International Antiques Fair organised by J's parents. I have not yet learnt the art of antique appreciation, but everytime I witness something that they've worked on, I always feel very inspired - to be more hardworking, to work for my dream, and to never give up; whilst always being true to myself. For everyone who wants to go support my dear friend J and her family, please visit their exhibition at the HK Convention Centre in Wan Chai (5th floor in the Old Wing).
We also paid a quick visit to Prodip's Opening Ceremony of his first solo exhibition at Future Industries; to support him and our dear friend Miss Amy, who was looking very pretty wearing an Antipodium dress from EDIT!! Please go support and check out his amazing art at Future Industries, on Square Street.
This weekend, I will be visiting Art Basel, helping out at the Antiques Fair, and working at EDIT on Sunday! Sounds like a jam packed weekend already! :)
I am not the type of girl who does sports because I LOVE to. No, I do it because I HAVE to. I've tried running, but it makes my heel hurt, and I run like a loser (hands swinging on both sides and legs all over the place). I don't mind swimming, but I hate the whole getting ready, getting wet, and getting changed again. I've done funky dance, but I am seriously bad at co-ordination (I am always one move slower than everyone else). However, after 2 weeks of trying out hot yoga, I think I've finally found the one work-out that I sort of enjoy. It's like my me-time in my own mat space, when I no longer have this "me-time" anymore these days.
So why the sudden urge to do some form of work-out apart from brisk walking in shops? Well, you know how when people tell you, "You should embrace your curves", they really mean "You will never be thin, so just live with it"... well, I don't exactly want to embrace it that much! Honestly, a bootie is only ever bootielicious on Beyonce, and no one wants to see flabby arms when you say bye to them; and don't even get me started on the unnecessity of having too much curves on the upper part of the body. :)
OK... I know it has only been 2 weeks since I've started yoga... so I am in no position to say that I love it; and with my pattern of loving a trend and then forgetting about it really quickly (apart from Chanel), I'll most likely come back in a month and say "No more Namaste for me", but for now, instead of embracing my curves, I am going to try to elongate them. :)
